SNC-Lavalin's on-going worldwide activities in the mining and processing of zinc dates back 40 years. SNC-Lavalin specialists have engineered a large number of important developments and have played a major role in the industry's transition to electrolytic refining.
More than 20 major zinc producers throughout the world have retained the services of SNC-Lavalin for the design and execution of new plants as well as of extensions and retrofits to existing facilities.
Overall, we have built 7 new zinc plants, resulting in the development of a large resource of in-house expertise. In doing so, we have also worked with most Technology Suppliers in the industry.
