SNC-Lavalin understands the great importance of Health and Safety and has a corporate commitment through our WE CARE core values to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all project personnel. Safety is integrated into the conceptual design, engineering and construction phases of all projects.

Proactive safety management is the key to a successful project and at the outset SNC-Lavalin develops a specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Program for each project in accordance with its and the client's corporate policies, standards and procedures.

The HSE program will address the specific challenges to be met for that project, while adhering to the basic tenets of SNC-Lavalin’s corporate commitment to the highest standards for the health, safety and environmental well being of its employees and the communities in which we work.

SNC-Lavalin is active in the local communities where we operate and support many local community initiatives. In 2011 our staff voted to support the Starlight Children’s Foundation and SNC-Lavalin is committed to providing support and the support of its employees to this organisation.

Additionally, SNC-Lavalin‘s employees support the RSPCA and we have a close affiliation with the Perth Fashion Festival and the Brisbane festival which are a showcase of our Australian arts communities in these areas.

Starlight Children's Foundation

Starlight’s mission is to brighten the lives of all seriously ill children and their families and support them throughout their journey by providing the opportunity to be distracted from the pain and stress of their treatments and to simply be a child again, to experience special and often transformational moments and to be together as a family enjoying activities that those with well children often take for granted. None of this would happen without supporters like Starlight’s supporters.

Starlight delivers innovative programs designed to make children happy and lift their spirits when they need it most. Starlight brings fun and laughter to children no matter what their illness or where they live.

The RSPCA is a community based charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. RSPCA Australia is home to a strong science and campaigns team, with a particular focus on farm animal issues. RSPCA Australia is responsible for facilitating national campaigns and events and representing the interests of animal welfare with Government and industry across all areas.

Perth Fashion Festival & Brisbane Festival

As an avid supporter of the Arts across Australia, SNC-Lavalin proudly support these organisations who strive to consistently promote and display the fantastic talent we have in the Australian Arts industry. The Perth Fashion Festival is centered around highlighting and supporting Perth's burgeoning local fashion talent which has become considerable since the inception of the event. Similarly the Brisbane Festival does this in regards to the performing arts such as dance, opera, theatre, visual arts, symphony and contemporary music.
